HBO is one of the leading networks in the world of television. The network has already given us some of the finest shows of all time in the form of Game of Thrones and Chernobyl. We are now on our way to witnessing possibly one of the best cinematic masterpieces of this year, as the TV adaptation of one of the most beloved video games of all times, The Last of Us, airs tonight. And we cannot be more hyped about it.

Headed by two Game of Thrones alums, Pedro Pascal (Oberyn Martell) who plays Joel, and Bella Ramsey (Lyanna Mormont) as Ellie, the show follows Joel who is forced to bring a young girl named Ellie, across a zombie-infested United States because she might be the key to a cure. Watch the trailer right here:

The trailer begins with a post-apocalyptic scenario, with Ellie (Bella Ramsey) asking Joel (Pedro Pascal), “If you don’t think there’s hope for the world, why bother going on?”

To which Joel replies, “You haven’t seen the world. So you don’t know. You keep going for family.”

We also get a brief glimpse at several mutated zombies in the trailer as Joel and Ellie try to escape their deadly clutches.

The Last Of Us premieres tonight at 6 p.m. PT (9 p.m. ET), which you might remember as the time slot occupied by House of the Dragon last year on HBO and HBO Max.
