The Last of Us’ Bella Ramsey teases a ‘darker’ tone for Season 2
The first season of the HBO adaptation of the Naughty Dog video game The Last of Us was a resounding success. When the season finale aired in March, it set a number of records and outperformed shows like House of The Dragon in terms of audience size. The second season of the show has already been renewed, and fans can’t wait to see more Cordyceps-infested action!
The Last of Us Season 2 will be ‘darker’
In a recent interview with Vanity Fair, The Last of Us star Bella Ramsey teased what’s to come in Season 2, “It’s darker. It’s really a story about revenge, and a continuation from the first season about the dangers of unconditional love.”
Bella Ramsey wasn’t a gamer growing up
Ramsey might be playing one of the most well-known characters in video game history, but they weren’t into gaming early on. They said, “Though I quickly learned the impact [The Last of Us] had. I’d heard of it because I saw a clickbait thing talking about it being the first lesbian kiss in a video game. I thought, Oh, that’s cool.”
Bella Ramsey is studying Environmental Science
Apart from impressing everyone with their acting, Ramsey is also an avid scholar. They are studying environmental science, and say, “I have to support the things that resonate with me, and I wanted to learn about it properly. I’m very, very grateful and aware of the immense privilege that I have to be able to talk about things openly, and that people will listen.”
