Steve Toussaint teases the beginning of House of The Dragon Season 2’s production

Game of Thrones prequel House of The Dragon season 2 is currently in the pre-production phase. HBO’s fantasy epic is one of the top contenders at this year’s Emmy Awards, eyeing multiple nominations in various categories. Fans are eagerly looking forward to the release of Season 2, which might begin filming very soon.

House of The Dragon Season 2 to begin filming in April?

Actor Steve Toussaint, who plays Corlys Velrayon in the Game of Thrones prequel, recently thanked all those who wished him on his 58th birthday, which was on 22nd March 2023. He teased about going back to filming the HBO epic in the same post. He wrote:

“Thanks for taking the time to send birthday greetings; you’re well-wishes were a surprise, and greatly appreciated. I had a great day and ate a lot of this food! Work on HOTD2 starts very soon… #HOTD”

When were House of The Dragon season 2 scripts completed?

The news comes from Middle East Film and Comic Con in Abu Dhabi, where Matt Smith (Daemon Targaryen) was a guest and he revealed that he finally received the scripts, although a bit late. He said, “I got all the scripts on Friday, actually. They’re really late. It’s always the way, isn’t it? They always come in so late. I haven’t gotten to the end of it yet”

When will House of The Dragon return?

The filming of House of The Dragon season 2 is currently in pre-production, with the casting currently in progress. HBO chief Casey Bloys has confirmed in an indirect way that House of The Dragon won’t be coming back before the summer of 2024.
