Seth Meyers compares Arya Stark to Hillary Clinton on his talk show

We all know Game of Thrones as the show with the ugly, yet interesting politics. Being as it is, it’s hard not to draw parallels between the show and real life politics, especially with the levels of craziness in world politics that we have, right now. The latest comparison comes from the talk show host, Seth Meyers, who compared Arya Stark to U.S. politician and runner-up of the 2017 U.S. Presidential elections, Hillary Clinton.
On a recent episode of Late Night with Seth Meyers, the host talked about the investigation into the alleged Russia-Trump colluding. FBI Director James Comey recently commented on the investigation, basically by refusing to comment on it. On the “Closer Look” segment on the show, Seth laid out his bit on the issue, saying :
“I’m not saying that Comey cost Clinton the election, but his name is definitely on the list that Hillary mutters like Arya Stark when she’s walking in the woods. James Comey … Wikileaks … The Hound!”
Check out the video clip of the segment, here :
Now, even though Seth Meyers was pretty apt in his analogy, considering it was about the murderous aspect of Arya Stark that he compared to Hillary Clinton, it still makes us uneasy. First of all, Cersei Lannister would be a much better character to compare Hillary with. Secondly, the fact that Arya is never really shown to have a political motivation somewhat renders the whole analogy redundant, but then again, you can’t expect Hollywood talk show hosts to make sense all the time.
Now, if he had compared President Trump to the Mad King instead, that would have been much easier to digest. What do you think? Got any Game of Thrones/reality analogies which you think make sense? Tell us in the comments, below!
