Redditor explains in detail why Game of Thrones will end with Jon Snow killing Daenerys Targaryen
Game of Thrones is quite a complicated story, and as such there are a lot of theories about it. Obviously, quite a bit has been lost in adaptation of the books to the TV show, but fans often connect the dots to predict what will happen on the show. One of the biggest predictions right now is that Jon Snow will end up killing Daenerys Targaryen. A Redditor just explained why this event is inevitable. Read on!
The explanation came from Redditor Saravian, who has combined all the pointers leading upto The Prince that was Promised theory, also known as the Azor Ahai theory. He talks about a series finale which doesn’t see Jon and Daenerys win in a massive battle, but rather sees Jon having to kill Daenerys to save the day. Read it in full, below :
So what the theory says is that Jon will have to kill Daenerys like the legend said thay Azor Ahai killed his wife, Nissa Nissa. Starting off, the Redditor says that Tyrion must be the third head of the dragon, in line with the older theory, and mentioning how Gemma Lannister tells Jaime that Tyrion is Tywin’s true son. The explanation argues that he is more like Tywin than Cersei or Jaime, like Jon is more like Ned than Ned’s children.
Moving on, the explanation talks about how the vision Daenerys has in the House of the Undying is about Jon Snow. It says that Jon Snow will have to sacrifice Daenerys and that she will turn to the Night King, and that will formulate a peace pact between the two sides. If you don’t know, the first Long Night ended through diplomacy, and apparently that is how it will happen again.
What do you think? While this explanation does have every piece of evidence to support it, but it seems like a way to end the show with not much closure to the fans. Do you think this is how the show will end? Talk to us in the comments, down below!
