Pedro Pascal to co-star with Chris Hemsworth in the film adaptation of “Crime 101”
Pedro Pascal has had a very successful year in 2023. The Game of Thrones alum had a strong start to the year in HBO’s The Last of Us, and both viewers and reviewers applauded his depiction of Joel, which led to his first-ever Emmy nomination. Pascal will now be seen sharing screen with MCU’s Thor, Chris Hemsworth, in upcoming crime drama “Crime 101”.
What is Crime 101 about?
Crime 101 is a criminal drama that has been compared to the classic movie Heat. The police have linked the Colombian cartels to jewel heists that have been taking place along the Pacific Coast. Lou Lubesnick, a police investigator, believes that a single burglar is responsible for the robberies in order to settle a score. HarperCollins released the tale in 2020 as a part of the Winslow collection Broken.
Who is in the cast and crew of Crime 101?
Though none of the deals have been finalized yet, both Pascal and Hemsworth showed interest in the film before the SAG-AFTRA strike. Crime 101 will be directed by American Animals director Bart Layton. The production package was put together by Shane Salerno of Story Factory, Eric Fellner, and Tim Bevan of Working Title.
When will Crime 101 be released?
The film is currently stuck in the pre-production phase due to the ongoing strikes. Amazon and Netflix are in a tight bidding war to secure rights for the film, the result of which will further clear the way for the movie.
