Paddy Considine to headline Sylvester Stallone’s upcoming boxing drama

Paddy Considine is one of the underrated gems of the acting industry. He was nothing less than extraordinary in his portrayal of King Viserys Targaryen in House of the Dragon. Anyone who watched season one of the show felt the pain and emotion of the King, and fought hard to hold back their tears as he made his last walk to the Iron Throne to protect his daughter Rhaenyra. His last words on his deathbed still haunt and sadden the viewers through the screen. Paddy is finally getting the recognition he deserves, and we will get to see him return to the silver screen once again very soon.
Considine has been cast in Sylvester Stallone’s upcoming boxing drama Giant, according to a report by Deadline. The biographical show is based on the true-life story of British-Yemeni boxer Prince Naseem “Naz” Hamed and his rags-to-riches ascent to a world championship under the tutelage of his Irish-born boxing trainer Brendan Ingle. Considine will play Ingle and Mena Massoud has been roped in to play the legendary boxer.
The story is written and directed by Rowan Athale with Sylvester Stallone and Braden Aftergood of Balboa Productions on board as executive producers. The release date is yet to be announced.
