Game of Thrones prequel House of The Dragon has created a huge hype amongst fantasy lovers. Just as the characters in George R. R. Martin’s Fire & Blood are always scheming and fighting to sit on the Iron Throne, HBO is leaving no stones unturned, working tirelessly in the marketing of the fantasy series. However, Game of Thrones fandom is well aware of how madly one can fall in love with the world of Westeros, and one actor, in particular, might have taken his role in the prequel series a bit too seriously.

In a recent episode of The Late Late Show with James Corden, Paddy Considine appeared for a chat and said:

"House of the Dragon" Brought Out Paddy Considine's Inner Drag Queen

“Well I was like, we’d just come out of the first lockdown and I was doing an independent film in Dublin. Just outside Dublin. I got this, you know, a call, “Are you a Game of Thrones fan?” And we’ve been watching it during the lockdown. And so luckily when I got the meet, a skype meet, to know that I wasn’t lying. I had watched the show. They just spoke about the role and they were interested in me and I didn’t realize at the time it was an offer for a king.”

Paddy also talked about how RuPaul’s Drag Race inspired his character, “It was, you know. Drag Race informed the character. What I did become off-screen was this Drag character. Cuz I think a lot of actors, a lot of British actors in particular, have a little bit of camp about them. And with the sort of hair and clothes, I couldn’t just resist serving a lil bit of Targaryen queen rushing out.”
