Game of Thrones prequel House of The Dragon is one of the most anticipated shows for 2022, and HBO has done a great job keeping the production under the veil. However, casting details do seem to leak quite often, as excited locals try to steal a sneak peek at filming locations and also via various casting sites. Recently, another casting news has come to the surface, and fans waiting for House of The Dragon will be delighted.

A few days ago, Redditors noticed a posting on the management firm Waring & McKenna for actor Oscar Garland, who will be playing the character of Ser Addam. Fans in the Reddit comment section went wild with excitement, as there is a famous character named “Addam” in Fire and Blood, a dragonseed, a noble knight who fought for Rhaenyra Targaryen.

Update: Clinton Liberty has been cast as Addam Velaryon and plays the character in House of the Dragon Season 2.

Ser Addam Velaryon, born Addam of Hull, was a legitimized bastard from Driftmark, a dragonseed. During the Dance of the Dragons, Addam became a knight and the heir to Driftmark and House Velaryon. He was a dragonrider whose dragon was Seasmoke.

However, there is a significant flaw in this theory. Addam of Hull doesn’t appear until late in the story, and since House of The Dragon is still progressing in the earlier timeline, it is highly unlikely Garland will play Addam of Hull. Many speculate it is just a random knight named Adam, but we’ll have to wait and see.
