Nicholas Hoult auditioned to play Jon Snow in Game of Thrones

Game of Thrones has had a respectable star cast, ranging from the young first-timers to the industry veteran actors. Over the past few years, we have heard of a lot of actors who auditioned for different parts on the show but didn’t land the roles. The latest of the bunch is Nicholas Hoult, who auditioned for the role of Jon Snow. Read on!
Nicholas Hoult was recently at the Montclair Film Festival, for the screening of his latest film, Tolkien, where he talked to Page Six about his shot at a role in Game of Thrones:
“I think I auditioned for Jon Snow. I remember it because I was filming ‘Clash of the Titans’ at the time, so I had long hair extensions. They gave me a ponytail and also a very patchy fake tan. So I remember being like, ‘This is probably not what they’re hoping for,’ and it obviously wasn’t.”
Of, course, the role went to Kit Harington in the end, who has done a great job with it. Had Hoult bagged the role, Game of Thrones would have looked quite different. Then again, what would Jon Snow be without the ever brooding Kit Harington?
