Interview
Matt Smith’s The Crown co-star Claire Foy found a number of Daemon’s scenes disgusting to watch

Game of Thrones fans have showered the prequel House of the Dragon with a lot of love and just like its predecessor, it has dished out characters, storylines, and everything else that makes it so engaging. The civil war Dance of the Dragons has not officially begun yet, and fans have been taking sides from the beginning of the show. Even the show’s director Clare Kilner and writer Sara Hess know about this growing thirst for grey characters, especially for Daemon Targaryen, and they were quite astounded by it.
Matt Smith, and his character, Daemon Targaryen, have both been fan favorites since episode 1, however, some people might not agree with that. Matt’s The Crown co-star Claire Foy actually found a number of his scenes outright disgusting. In a recent interview with Daily Mail, she said, “I’ve watched all of [it]. It took a huge amount of commitment, which waned towards the end.”
She added, “I was a very committed friend [of his character] but I disagreed with him in many scenes. I then had to tell [Smith] that I found them disgusting to watch.”
Well, Daemon is definitely George R. R. Martin’s favorite Targaryen, and he loves writing morally grey characters. What do you think of Daemon Targaryen in the show? Tell us in the comments below!
