Maisie Williams talks about what she learnt on Game of Thrones, teases Season 8
Game Of Thrones has made the careers of many actors that started their careers off on the show, and we have seen them develop into fully grown actors that are immensely popular. One of such actors, is Maisie Williams, who plays Arya Stark on the show. In a recent interview with The Times, Maisie spoke about what she has learnt in her years on Game of Thrones, and teased a little bit of Season 8 while she was at it. Read on!
Maisie was only a kid when she started on the show, and now she is 20. Speaking of how it was to live that double life, she said :
“On the one hand you’re a grown-up and you work on set and you work adult hours and you have an adult salary and it’s a lot of responsibility, then you go back to school and you have to put your hand up and ask to go to the toilet.”
Speaking of the experience on Game of Thrones, she said :
“There were things I learnt on Game of Thrones that you could never learn in a classroom. It’s the responsibility and the discipline of it — if you have a bad day on set it’s there for ever.”
We have all seen how much Arya has seen and been through over the years, and there is a lot of development that has happened in her character. Maisie spoke about this :
“For a lot of the previous season her emotions were very cut off, she just didn’t want to hear what her family had been through. I hope in the new season I get a chance to bring back a bit more of that fun child that we all fell in love with.”
Speaking of Season 8, she said that she and her mother talked about predictions before she read the scripts, and neither of them turned out to be right :
“I don’t know if it’s gonna surprise people, but it’s just different to what you think it’s gonna be.”
Well, we can’t wait to have all our theories proven wrong. What do you think? What are you expecting from Season 8? Tell us in the comments, down below!
