Maisie Williams shines in the trailer for “The New Mutants”
Game of Thrones stars are well beyond the show now, and on to bigger projects. While Sophie Turner’s turn in the X-Men Universe, Dark Phoenix, bombed at the box office, her on screen Thrones sister Maisie Williams is all set to steal the spotlight with The New Mutants. Read on!
While The New Mutants has been delayed a couple of times now, the movie finally seems to have a set release. While the teaser for this film dropped nearly a year and a half ago, the trailer for the film was only recently revealed, and Maisie Williams steals the show. Take a look:
The movie will have Maisie Williams play the role of Rahne Sinclair a.k.a. Wolfsbane, one of the young mutants. Other recognisable cast member is Charlie Heaton, from Stranger Things. Here’s the official synopsis of the film:
“Twentieth Century Fox in association with Marvel Entertainment presents The New Mutants, an original horror thriller set in an isolated hospital where a group of young mutants is being held for psychiatric monitoring. When strange occurrences begin to take place, both their new mutant abilities and their friendships will be tested as they battle to try and make it out alive.”
The movie has been set for an April 3, 2020 release, with the former delays apparently being for reshoots to remove references to previous X-Men films so the movie could be used for the Marvel Cinematic Universe canon moving forward.
