Maisie Williams says she'll miss playing Arya Stark no matter what she works on
Game of Thrones has been the first big break for a lot of the actors on the show, and some have literally grown up on the job. One of those actors is Maisie Williams, who plays Arya Stark on the show, and has grown up with her character. In a recent interview, she talked about playing Arya, and how she will miss the character no matter what she works on, moving on. Read on!
Maisie recently spoke to InStyle magazine in an interview to go along with her photoshoot. She started off speaking about her early life:
“I struggled with the pressure to fit in and always worried about saying the right thing. It was strange because I put on the personality of the girl who was ‘Maisie Williams’ but really struggled in my personal life.”
Her work on Game of Thrones and the fanbase she gained helped her adjust to life:
“I think just understanding I wasn’t the only one who feels like they don’t fit in really helped me. And it made me want to inform other young kids that it actually does get better.”
She then spoke about leaving behind Arya Stark, and how she can’t really do it :
“The hardest thing about the show ending is that I’ll never get to be Arya again. For a long time we felt like the same person, but now that I’m older, I’ve grown into a different person and found other sides to my personality.
But I do wish she shaped me to be more fearless in the industry. Honestly, no matter what else I work on, I’ll miss playing her.”
Well, we’ll miss seeing her as Arya, too. What about you? Talk to us in the comments, down below!
