Game of Thrones’ cast included a great number of actors and actresses who can be described as the most down-to-earth celebrities. Jason Momoa, who played Khal Drogo, is definitely one of them. Despite achieving great success as the superhero Aquaman, he has managed to stay true to his roots. The actor seems to enjoy checking out all the cool things the world has to offer. He will now be seen in Netflix’s upcoming action-thriller titled Sweet Girl. Netflix has finally set the release date for their new revenge based action film. The film is scheduled to make its debut on Friday, August 20.
In addition, the first official photos of Sweet Girl have also been revealed, which you can check out below. Providing us with our first look at Momoa and Isabela Merced who are portraying the father and daughter roles of Ray and Rachel Cooper.

Sweet Girl sees Jason Momoa playing a husband who vows to bring justice to those responsible for his wife’s death. While also trying to protect the only family he has left…his daughter. The film is directed by Brian Andrew Mendoza in his feature directorial debut from a script written by Gregg Hurwitz and Philip Eisner. With current revisions by Will Staples. Mendoza and Momoa previously worked together on 2018’s Braven and Netflix’s Frontier series.
Momoa is reportedly also working on the script of Aquaman 2. Are you excited about the upcoming Netflix thriller? Talk to us in the comments below!
The sparkling world of celebrities is fashion prone, with all the latest items from the greatest brands right at their disposal. Even though the style statement on Game of Thrones was highly inspired by the medieval period, it can be seen outside of museums and Comic Cons as well. Jessica Rowe, the former TV presenter, shared a photo on her Instagram of herself. She wore a big cosy coat – likely a faux fur piece. And she compared herself to the famous Game of Thrones character Jon Snow.
She added a bit of glamour to her look with a belt around her waist to cinch the jacket and a pair of tights with boots. The blonde beauty’s post featured a picture of Game Of Thrones character Jon Snow (played by Kit Harington) wearing a similar fur coat.
In the caption, she asked her followers: “Who wore it better?? Fashun sweetie’ along with the hashtags ‘#craphousewife’ and ‘#winterishere.”
Jessica’s sassy fashion post comes after she caught up with Sunrise executive producer Michael Pell, earlier this week. It seems like Game of Thrones fever is still on, and might rank up a notch once House of The Dragon is released.
Game of Thrones was also featured recently in a statement given by White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki. Do you think Jessica’s get-up is anywhere close to Jon Snow? Talk to us in the comments below!
Fantasy epic Game of Thrones has become a pop culture icon due to its massive popularity in the past decade. It is no brainer that the hugely famed series finds its way into being mentioned on various occasions. From politics to entertainment to sports, the show has often been compared with real-life situations. Channel Nine commentator Phil Gould has been ridiculed online for quoting Game of Thrones in his State of Origin pre-game speech.
Gould took to the field at Townsville’s Country Bank Stadium to deliver his last thoughts. Moments before the Blues took on the Maroons on Wednesday night.
While praising the players for their ‘bravery’, the former NSW coach said their courage in the face of fear. It could be related to a passage he once read in the novels – which were turned into the hit HBO television series.
“There was a passage I read in the Game of Thrones many years ago of a conversation between the father and his son,” he said.
“The son asked is it possible for a man to still be considered brave when on the inside he is truly afraid? To which his father replied – when you’re truly afraid, that is the only time a man can be brave and that’s what you will see tonight.”
“Nerves, insecurity, fear, it will give way to courage and bravery. It will give way to the commitment you have to your teammates and your state. It will give way to the commitment you have to do whatever is necessary to win.”
“Why? Because that’s what Origin players do. And above all else, these boys want to be Origin players.”

A Game of Thrones: The Board Game has successfully incorporated the elements of the fantasy show into a video game. The game launched its mobile version recently. Last month, it released a new DLC that makes you want to play as a Bolton.
The DLC is called A Dance With Dragons, named after the fifth novel in George R.R. Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire books. Just like in the books (and later seasons of the show) this new mode of play reflects a change of power in Westeros. Lannister players begin with control of King’s Landing, Baratheons are on the Wall and have Jon Snow on their team, and the Boltons control House Stark. The flow of gameplay itself is also dramatically changed, giving players only six rounds to conquer the most territories or lose the Game of Thrones.
You can still choose House Stark in the Dance With Dragons expansion, but their deck is now stacked with characters from House Bolton. Fans will remember that dark period when the Boltons took over Winterfell, where Ramsay Bolton tortured Sansa Stark and broke Theon until he turned into Reek. Ramsay and Reek feature as playable cards, and together they make a deadly combo.
Ramsey comes at a solid three power and can have four power if Reek is in your hand. Having Reek around also lets him kill three enemy units. That’s a brutal move that pretty much ensures you’ll rip a territory from enemy hands without fear of reprisal. Reek, who has zero attack, lets you return Ramsey from the discard to your hand. Furthermore, if you lose that battle (which you will because of zero power), you get to return Reek to your hand instead of discarding him. So if you play it well, you can keep cycling Ramsay and Reek for several rounds in a row.
So, watch out for this deadly combo! And tell us what you think about the game in the comments below!
