House of the Dragon Season 2 behind-the-scenes photo shows a gruesome end for Blood

House of the Dragon season 2 has been everything fans hoped it would be. From intense drama to fierce rivalry, the first episode has kept us on the edge of our seats, waiting to know what surprising turn the narrative takes next.

At the end of episode 1, we saw the deadly duo Blood and Cheese slay Aegon II’s son Jaehaerys Targaryen in front of Halaena. Traumatized, Halaena barges into Alicent’s room where she’s seen being intimate with Ser Criston Cole.

Aegon II delivers justice to Blood in House of the Dragon season 2

A few behind-the-scenes pictures have been making the rounds on social media. They showcase Aegon II with a torturous weapon. Behind him, we can see Blood kneeling and tied down. A short clip in one of the promos and trailers also shows Aegon II demanding justice at the cost of dignity.

He has lost his heir to the throne and the King will not let this injustice slide. The entire House of the Dragon season 2 episode 2 seems to revolve around the aftermath of Daemon’s bold choices. The Rogue Prince wanted revenge for his wife’s son’s murder and contracted Blood and Cheese to slay Aemond. However, the assassins got caught up in the son-for-a-son metaphor and chose to kill Jaehaerys instead.

Consequently, the upcoming episode of House of the Dragon season 2 will perhaps showcase Aegon II finding Blood and Cheese to torture them and inflict more pain. The King is deeply wounded and he will reply to this heinous act in his signature style.

On the other hand, we see Rhaenyra losing trust in Daemon after this particular step. The Queen thinks Daemon has weakened her claim to the throne due to his drastic action. Daemon, however, was only trying to help ease his wife’s pain of grief.
