Game of Thrones prequel House of The Dragon was one of the most highly anticipated shows of 2022. The hype around the show is very real, the pilot itself scoring a massive 9 rating on IMDb. Avid readers of George R. R. Martin’s works are looking forward to seeing some of their favorite characters from the novel Fire and Blood, as the show is based on an infamous incident from its storyline. The excitement is through the roof, the reactions have been largely positive, and the teaser looks really, really good. Due to all the positive reactions, House of The Dragon has been officially renewed for season 2.

House of The Dragon’s official Twitter account confirmed it with the following post:

The premiere episode of House of The Dragon was very well received and the show has a great future ahead. Earlier in May, there were reports of Season 2 already in the works at HBO. We already know HBO chief Casey Bloys was quite confident about the success of House of The Dragon from the beginning. He had hinted at a “strong possibility” of season 2, and it is very likely that the scripts for season 2 of House of The Dragon are being written as we speak.
