Since the beginning of the Game of Thrones prequel series House of the Dragon, people have been speculating about a potential love affair between Rhaenyra Targaryen and her best friend Alicent Hightower, even before her controversial relationship with her uncle Daemon. However, even sadder was the fact that Alicent had to marry Rhaenyra’s father, though she did not really wish for that.

A deleted scene showed Rhaenyra helping Alicent dress up

In the first Season of House of the Dragon, Alicent and Viserys’ wedding was completely skipped – it happened off-screen. However recent evidence via Hotd Croatia fansite points that it was indeed filmed, and Rhaenyra was tasked with dressing up Alicent for the wedding day.

In the first season of House of the Dragon, Daemon (possibly) had sex with a young Alicent

There are several explanations for Alicent’s jealousy of Rhaenyra, while some have suggested it may be related to Daemon. A new rumor claims that Daemon is shown allegedly stealing Alicent’s virginity in a deleted scene from Season One of House of the Dragon. This scene was supposed to explain why Alicent was so angry at Rhaenyra in Season 1 Episode 4, but it was cut because of concerns that Daemon would come off as being too callous.
