House of the Dragon and Game of Thrones actors join The Daily Wire’s ‘The Pendragon Cycle’

One of the finest aspects of the Game of Thrones television series has always been the character casting. They’ve even pleased George R. R. Martin, the mind behind the Game of Thrones universe. House of the Dragon, like its predecessor, includes a cast of extremely outstanding performers. A number of them have gone on to star in big-budget projects like MCU and Slow Horses, and a few more will star in The Daily Wire‘s adventure series The Pendragon Cycle.

What is The Pendragon Cycle about?

Stephen R. Lawhead’s Pendragon Cycle novel series served as inspiration for the production. The seven-episode drama is a reworking of King Arthur’s legends, set during the end of Roman Britain when pagan tribes fought Saxon and Pict invaders, as well as each other. Merlin, the son of an Atlantean princess and the bard Taliesin, strives to realize his father’s ideal of a ‘Kingdom of Summer’ – a united Briton in peace. Merlin will have to face old evils and negotiate both the collapse of the Roman Empire and the advent of Christianity in order to find a ruler who can unify the Mighty Island.
