Here's why Bran Stark is acting all weird in Game of Thrones Season 7

Game of Thrones has a lot of character storylines, and they have all matured so wonderfully. There is, however, one particular character that has so much mystery around him, that he’s likely to play a big role in the end of the show, and that’s Bran Stark. Season 7 is now three episodes in, and if there’s one things we have clearly noticed about Bran Stark, it’s that he’s been acting weird. Really weird. So what it is that has gone wrong with him? We now might have some idea as to what exactly is making Bran not be his usual self. Read on!

We saw Bran Stark return to his home, Winterfell, in the third episode of Season 7, titled ‘The Queen’s Justice‘. Of course, a little Stark reunion took place, with Sansa‘s reaction to seeing her brother alive, while Bran didn’t quite react the same way. Now, the devil lies in the details, and here it is the reply that Bran gives Sansa when she says that he’s the Lord of Winterfell :

“I can never be Lord of Winterfell. I can never be Lord of anything. I’m the Three-Eyed Raven,” he told his sister in the Godswood. “It’s difficult to explain…It means I can see everything, everything that’s ever happened to everyone. Everything that’s happening right now. It’s all pieces now, fragments. I need to learn to see better. When the Long Night comes again, I need to be ready.”

Now, Issac Hempstead-Wright, who plays the role of Bran Stark, who’s now the Three-Eyed Raven, recently explained what this might be, in a small bit withINSIDER:

“He’s got this wealth of important information that really needs to get to the right people. And so by the start of season seven, Bran is in many ways a very different character. He’s the Three-Eyed Raven – he’s not Bran Stark, which means he’s really just a vehicle for the greater world’s fate. That is what Bran’s destiny is and what he’s doing in season seven.”

He went on to explain further :

“Bran is the Three-Eyed Raven now, which means a lot of things for him. He’s now the sworn enemy of the Night King, which is slightly frightening, and he’s lost Hodor, he’s lost his direwolf — he’s very much on his own.

Bran was learning to use his powers all throughout season six and it was going perfectly well. And then he totally screwed it all up. We know for a fact he’s not ready for this, the old Three-Eyed Raven said to him, ‘You’re not ready.’ And so I think season seven is about Bran having to come to terms with that and use his powers carefully.”

So looks like that clears it up. Bran Stark is less Bran Stark, and more Three-Eyed Raven now. What are your thoughts on this? Tell us in the comments down below!
