Theories
Here’s the proof that Bran Stark and Bran the Builder are the same person
Bran Stark has been an unsolved mystery so far in Game of Thrones. With all his time travelling powers coming into the picture, theories about him having played a vital role in the history of Westeros have become very widely talked about. Many fans seem to think that Bran Stark might just be the cause of everything that has been going on in Game of Thrones right from the start. This caught the attention of fans when some of Bran’s visions included things that had happened way before he was born, like the vision of Mad King Aerys, and things he wasn’t present at like Ned’s beheading.
With all the theories looming about, another very plausible one has come forth. It suggests that Bran might have something to do with preparing Westeros for the war against the White Walker army. We have already talked about the possibility of Bran Stark being the founder of House Stark and to make things more intriguing we have come across a picture of Bran the Builder, the creator of the Wall and the picture is almost 4 years old!
In the video about the history of Westeros in the Game of Thrones DVDs, there were glimpses of Bran the Builder being carried on a platform. Fans seem to think that the legendary figure could be crippled, or that both the Brans are the same person, which is a more probable theory given the time travelling powers of Bran Stark that appear to be capable of causing significant changes in the past.
To make things more interesting, the video has been narrated by Isaac Hempstead Wright, who plays Bran Stark on the show and while talking about Brandon Stark, he refers to him as Bran instead of Brandon. Now we know that Bran and Brandon are the same thing but what if referring to Bran the Builder as Bran instead of Brandon and the image of him on a platform was a subtle hint that the show creators had given in the video.

Here’s a passage from A Clash of Kings book, which might further prove that Bran is indeed Bran the Builder.
It could be possible that Bran Stark has been the one who built the Wall, Winterfell as Bran the Builder, and he could well have played the most important role in the history of Westeros, everything up to the impending war against the Night’s King and his army of dead. Whether or not this theory comes true, we surely are more curious to know what’s going to happen next.
