HBO celebrates Game of Thrones Season 7 DVD/Blu-ray release with a frozen ice cave in UK
As you guys know, it’s been a while since Game of Thrones Season 7 ended, and since then Season 8 has started filming. It has been long enough since Season 7 end that HBO is now releasing the DVD/Blu-ray of it. We recently reported about how HBO will be holding fan screenings in New York, Chicago, and Los Angeles. However it seems they haven’t forgotten about their fans in the UK. Read on!
A new report by Campaign says that HBO has partnered up with Backyard Cinema, to set up a Game of Thrones experience for the British fans of the show, at their venue in South London, on the 12th of December, to celebrate the release of. Below is the synopsis :
“For one night only, Backyard Cinema’s Snow Kingdom castle will transform into an official Game Of Thrones experience fit for a King or Queen. Celebrating the release of Game of Thrones season seven on BluRay, DVD and Digital Download on 11th December, lucky guests will get to experience two episodes of Game Of Thrones’ explosive season seven in the Snow Kingdom in the heart of South London. Just five pairs of tickets will be up available for this one-night-only experience via ballot entry competition.”
So looks like this will be a much more private, and yet more extravagant of an experience than the one in the U.S. The event will be held in a snow-clad castle, and there are quite a few attractions, including the frozen ice cave, the Iron Throne, and more! The contest was held over here. Ian Fullerton, vice president of international marketing at HBO, said in a comment :
“Working with Backyard cinema for a Game of Thrones screening is a great way to bring the show alive, encouraging new fans to come into the franchise and celebrating the physical release with some of the great moments from season seven.”
