George R. R. Martin goes to Los Angeles, teases 'thrilling news'
Game of Thrones creator George R. R. Martin is a busy man. When he is not trying to finish his next book, The Winds of Winter, he is working on anthologies, ‘fake history’ set in the Thrones universe, the Game of Thrones prequels, and so much more! He recently visited Los Angeles to meet up with HBO and other studios, and in a recent post on his Not a Blog, teased us fans to expect thrilling news. Read on!
GRRM always updates his fans on his Not a Blog, and this time he has provided quite a tease. Apparently, something big is in the store. He raved about how beautiful the weather has been in the city and then said :
“When I wasn’t gazing out over the city from the balcony of my room at the Four Seasons, I was having meetings. HBO meetings, for the most part… exciting stuff, and they all went well… and meetings with some major film studios as well, about possible adaptions of some of my other work. All very exciting. Cross your fingers, cross your toes, I might have thrilling news down the line.”
Now, this could either be about the Game of Thrones prequel shows. We know five of them are under consideration, and there is a good chance more than one goes forward. In the coming years, we could see a Star Wars styled approach, where multiple TV series spawned off the core franchise. George could also be talking aboutWho Fears Death, which is an upcoming HBO series which Martin is producing:

Or, there is a good chance GRRM has something new on his hands entirely, in which case, we need to watch out! He also hung out with his former colleagues from when he worked on Beauty and the Beast, the CBS drama that ran for three seasons :
