Game of Thrones get nominated for Best Drama category at the 2018 Golden Globes
The awards season is back! Game of Thrones Season 7 was a great addition to the show, and now the show is filming for Season 8. In the meantime, Season 7 will be making appearances at the awards season. In the latest news, Game of Thrones has been nominated in the Best Drama category for the 2018 Golden Globe Awards. Read on!
The nominations for the 75th edition of the Golden Globe Awards, 2018,have just been released by The Hollywood Foreign Press, and Game of Thrones Season 7 has been nominated for TV: Best Drama. Here’s the full list of nominees for the category :
“The Crown”
“Game of Thrones”
“The Handmaid’s Tale”
“Stranger Things”
“This Is Us”
Game of Thrones has just one nomination this time around, and its chances of winning aren’t that great, either. First of all, the competition is faces is tough, shows like The Handmaid’s Tale and Stranger Things have been generating way more critical buzz, with the former having won the Emmy award in the same category, and secondly, Game of Thrones has never really done well at the Globes, despite having been nominated in this category for seasons 1, 4, 5 and 6 — and never winning. Peter Dinklage, however, has won the Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actor in a Series back for Season 1, which is the only Globe win the show has.
Well, let’s still hope for the best! The 2018 Golden Globes will be aired on NBC on January 7. Who do you think will win? Tell us in the comments, down below!
