Game of Thrones stars Iain Glen and Lena Headey to star in the immigration drama “The Flood”
The cast of Game of Thrones is not really one with time to spare. The show shoots for long periods, but when the stars aren’t shooting for Game of Thrones, they are busy working on other projects, which are equally as big. We have seen big stars be a part of the cast and we have seen newcomers join it and become big stars, as well. The latest project we are hearing about has not one, but two Game of Thrones stars attached to it. Actress Lena Headey, who plays Cersei Lannister, and Iain Glen, who plays Jorah Mormont, will be starring in the upcoming film, The Flood.
According to a new report byScreenDaily, Iain Glen has joined the cast of the upcoming immigration drama, which stars Lena Headey. Ivanno Jeremiah, who is an upcoming actor from the TV series, Humans, has also joined the cast. Lena Headey also serves as executive producer for the film. She will play an immigration officer faced with the decision of an asylum seeker’s fate, who seems like he could pose a threat. Iain Glenn will play the role of Lena Headey’s character’s watchful boss.
Other actors confirmed for the film include Arsher Ali and Jack Gordon. The script has been written by Helen Kingston, and Anthony Woodley will be directing. The movie will be filmed in locations at London and Calais. Production is expected to begin April 10, with the film aiming for a 2018 release. This should serve us well to help deal with the Game of Thrones withdrawal we will be facing between Season 7 and Season 8, or to deal with the heartbreak of Game of Thrones ending, post Season 8 airing, in case the film releases that late.
