The Iron Anniversary month is coming to an end. Fans relived their favourite moments from the fantasy epic during the Marathrone held during the celebrations. A decade of Game of Thrones brought back sweet memories from behind the screen, and several cast members were happy to share. One of the show’s extras, Andrew McClay, played a number of soldiers throughout the series. He shared firsthand accounts of various funny moments that happened on set, one of them involving actor Pilou Asbaek.

Pilou Asbaek is best known for playing Euron Greyjoy on Game of Thrones. McClay recalled a funny incident about him in an interview with the Irish Mirror, “There was another great moment when we arrived at the Linen Mill Studios in Down. We were shooting inside the studio on the boat. It was the big naval battle sequence between Yara, Theon and Euron. I arrive and see Pilou (Euron Greyjoy) standing up at the front of the boat and he’s screaming for about 30 seconds before we even hear the word ‘action!’

We were all watching him and he’s just up there going crazy! Then when you see him walking around the studio in normal clothes, he’s still a wild man but he’s got a handshake and a smile for everyone. He’s just a man that loves having fun and he’s such a lovely guy.”

Taking a shower is one of the most basic activities that you do at least once a day. However, we might know a few who don’t really like to get themselves wet unless it’s really important. Recently, there was an odd trend on social media where celebrities were asked if they take a visit to their bathrooms on a regular basis. The answers might surprise you. The first instance appears to have been celebrity couple Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher, who said in a July episode of Dax Shepard’s “Armchair Expert” podcast that they soap down only their essential areas every day, and just wash their children when they spot dirt on them. However, Game of Thrones star Jason Momoa assured fans that his onscreen affinity for water carries over into his personal hygiene.

The Aquaman actor told Access Hollywood, “I’m not starting any trends. I shower, trust me. I’m Aquaman. I’m in the fucking water.” After pointing to his Hawaiian background, he added, “We got saltwater on me. We good.”

His actor friend Dwayne Johnson joined him declaring himself to be “the opposite of a ‘not washing themselves’ celeb.”

Shower (cold) when I roll outta bed to get my day rollin.’ Shower (warm) after my workout before work,” the “Jungle Cruise” actor tweeted. “Shower (hot) after I get home from work. Face wash, body wash, exfoliate and I sing (off-key) in the shower.”

Dune is one of the most promising sci-fi movies of this year, and if successful we might be looking at one of the best fantasy-based movie series of the decade. It has already garnered a lot of attention due to its amazing star cast, which includes Game of Thrones actor Jason Momoa. Momoa is known for his great bonding with co-stars, he has maintained a great friendship with his Game of Thrones co-star Emilia Clarke. Recently in an interview with Gamesradar, Momoa talked about sharing amicable moments with Dune co-star Timothee Chalamet.

Momoa plays Duncan Idaho – the handsome swordsman from Dune who trains the leading character Paul Atreides, portrayed by Timothée Chalamet in the upcoming movie. He told Gamesradar, “It was exactly like in the film – he’s like a little brother. He’s so intelligent. He’s something else to watch. Tim is such a beautiful actor and considerate. He cares about his craft way more than I do. It’s just impressive to be around people like that.”

“That joke [about muscles in the trailer] came from me. There are these outtakes where I went up to Timmy, and I go, “Look at you, dick and ribs.” Denis comes up and says, “What is this talk about the ribs and his dick? I don’t understand.” I’m like, “Well, it’s funny, because Timmy’s so skinny.” He’s like, “OK. Maybe you can do it in another way?” But Timothée [got me back]. When I hug him he kneed me in the balls so hard! You can see it if you watch in slo-mo.”

Can you imagine someone as skinny as Chalamet getting the better of Momoa? Tell us in the comments below!

Game of Thrones is undoubtedly one of the biggest shows to ever grace the television screens. The series is easily recognizable as a pop culture icon, whose fandom transcends geological boundaries. The TV show was based on George R. R. Martin’s famous novel series A Song of Fire and Ice, which in turn was heavily inspired by medieval history. This often leads some people into believing that Game of Thrones wasn’t a fantasy story, rather real history itself. And Game of Thrones alum Kit Harington has met a few of them himself.

The conversation arose in an interview with PTI, where Harington was present for the promotion of Amazon’s Modern Love Season 2. He mentioned a Game of Thrones joke in the script that attracted his attention towards the show.

In a scene, Harington’s Michael is seen discussing his love life with his brother Declan, played by a moustachioed Jack Reynor.

During their conversation, Declan asks Michael about Paula and what she does. He replies that she is studying Medievalism to which Declan quips, “Like ‘Game of Thrones’?’, leaving his brother with a puzzled look on his face.

In reality, Harington said he has come across people who believe that Game of Thrones, based on author George R. R. Martin’s book series, is actually history.

I’ve met people who have said to me, ‘You know, I don’t know much about that ‘Game of Thrones’ stuff. I’ve never been much of a history buff.’

And I was like, ‘Really? I’m not sure you have to be’,” the actor said.
