Game of Thrones is going to return to Meereen for season 7
Game of Thrones season 6 ended with Daenerys Targaryen leaving Daario Naharis behind in Meereen and finally sailing for Westeros along with her dragons and a huge military force. Looking at the numbers, Cersei is going to have a really tough time keeping the Iron Throne, unless she receives some help. The way things happened in the season 6 finale, we weren’t sure if we would get to see Meereen again.
Also, there has been no news regarding Daario’s role in season 7 and Michiel Huisman refused to divulge any information whether we would get to see his character again. However, we have received some photos and a video of the Meereen set from an anonymous source and the video and photos are very recent and have been taken during the past week. We doubt that this is an old and unused set and it’s presence makes it clear that we will get to see scenes from Meereen in Game of Thrones season 7. Take a look at the photos and video below.
The set in the above photo is Daenerys’ throne room in the Great Pyramid.
Here are more photos of the throne room that we received.
Along with the photos, we also have a video of the apex of the Great Pyramid, which houses Daenerys’ private chambers.
As these photos of the set are very recent, we are certain that we will get to see Meereen in season 7 and now that almost all the important characters have left Meereen, it seems clear that Daario will make a return in season 7. It’s just a matter of time before some fan manages to take a photo with Michiel Huisman and share it online. We have no information about what might happen or who we might get to see but we are sure that these photos of the Meereen set are very recent.
