Game of Thrones gets its own range of postal stamps in the U.K.
Game of Thrones is a worldwide phenomenon at this point, and the show has been responsible for changing the facade of television. The heavy pop culture influence it has certainly shows, and the show gets its share of homages and dedications, and the latest one is perhaps the coolest ever. Ten characters from the show are now getting their own postal stamps. Read on!
A new report by Entertainment Weekly says that the Royal Mail, the U.K. postal service, has now decided to give Game of Thrones a tribute, by giving the show its own lineup of postal stamps. A total of 10 characters will be getting their own stamps, in addition to the beasts and other things from the show.
The total number of Game of Thrones stamps launched comes up to 15. The characters to get a stamp of their own are Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke), Jon Snow (Kit Harington), Tyrion Lannister (Peter Dinklage), Jaime Lannister (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau), Arya Stark (Maisie Williams), Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey), Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner), Eddard Stark (Sean Bean), Olenna Tyrell (Diana Rigg), and Tywin Lannister (Charles Dance). Other stamps include the Dragons, Direwolves, Giants, Night King and the White Walkers, and the Iron Throne.
