Game of Thrones fans are going crazy after spotting a tiny detail during the season 7 finale
Game of Thrones is a show that has been playing with us quite a lot over its runtime. There have been quite a few instances when the show has secretly foreshadowed massive facts, and it has gone on to a point where now every little action on the show is scrutinized and thought to be a clue to a bigger truth that hasn’t been revealed. In the Season 7 finale, however, there was a sign that that the fans thinking about a wildly popular fan theory : that Bran Stark is actually the Night King. Read on!
Now, if you’ve forgotten, the theory states that Bran Stark, at one point, starts going back in time. He first goes back in time and tries to whisper to Aerys Targaryen, the Mad King, to “burn them all”, but Aerys ends up losing his mind. Bran than goes further back in time, and builds the Wall as Bran the Builder, the first Stark, who also builds Winterfell, and House Stark.
He then goes further back to the conflict between the Children of the Forest and the First Men, and gets stabbed in the heart with Dragonglass, making him the Night King. The theory has gained a lot of traction in the recent weeks, and Season 7 finale had a little detail that seemed like a nod from the showrunners to this theory. Check out the picture below :
Yep, you saw it right. The Army of the Dead marching south after Viserion helped them blow a giant chunk of the Wall off, is seen marching in a formation that looks quite like the sigil of House Stark. Fans have taken this as the definitive sign that the Night King is actually Bran Stark, but there’s a chance that they’re showing the wolf to signal that they’re headed for the wolves next, matching past the Wall or it’s even possible that the above picture doesn’t mean anything special and it’s just a mere coincidence.
