The second episode of Game of Thrones Season 7 just premiered. The episode, titled Stormborn, was amazing, keeping its pace from the beginning to the end. Just like the premiere episode, this one also had quite a lot of happening, albeit in a different way. Daenerys Targaryen found herself in the War Room of Dragonstone, which we had seen previously being used by Stannis Baratheon. Daenerys is seen seeking counsel from all her allies, and ‘staff’, and also has a powerful dialogue with Lord Varys, and a little chat with Olenna Tyrell, which gave us quite a quotable line. The episode was followed by a clip which had the stars from the scene discuss it. Read on!
The scene starred Emilia Clarke (Daenerys Targaryen), Peter Dinklage (Tyrion Lannister), Gemma Whelan (Yara Greyjoy), Dianna Rigg (Olenna Tyrell), Conleth Hill (Lord Varys), Indira Varma (Ellaria Sand), and more. The clip shows Emilia, Dinklage, and Verma discuss the scene, and the underlying plot points. Watch it below :
Emilia talked about how Daenerys is just trying to be smarter than before, having failed a few times, after making decisions on her own. She said that she wants to do this right. Peter Dinklage talked about how Daenerys was ‘fighting her instincts’ while trying to play the game. Indira Varma said Dany is trying to be the big guy, not take any kneejerk reactions, and that Ellaria respects her for that. Emilia also discussed Daenerys’ talk with Olenna, and said Daenerys looked up to her, of sorts.
What do you think? Is Daenerys right about her approach, or should she have rather chosen to follow in her father’s footsteps, and decided to “Burn them all”? Honestly, that’s what we thought she would do, just ride into King’s Landing with her Dragons, but apparently not! What are your thoughts? Tell us in the comments, down below!
