Fans react to the fire of Harrenhal in House of The Dragon episode 6
Fans of Game of Thrones are no strangers to horrific death scenes, having witnessed the most gruesome of those in all of television history. The prequel House of The Dragon is walking in its predecessor’s line, and has featured some kind of graphic death scene in every episode. The latest character to kick the bucket was the Hand of King Ser Lyonel Strong, and his son and Rhaenyra’s alleged lover, Harwin Strong. They both died in a mysterious fire that broke out at Harrenhal, and the person behind it shocked all of the audience.
Here’s what some fans think about the fiery death sequence.
So a thought occurred to me: what if Lyonel was the only target of the fire? Harwin could've gotten out of #Harrenhal easily. Lyonel was the one with no way to escape. And Larys admitted he did it to free up the position of Hand of the King -no mention of Harwin #HouseOfTheDragon

Harwins death was traumatizing tbh. I know he was gonna go out in a Harrenhal fire. But I did NOT expect his last words to be so goddamn heart wrenching?

Imagining how different things would be if Rhaenyra married Harwin Strong instead of Laenor. He’s not the *most* noble match, but he is the child of the Hand (same as Alicent), heir to Harrenhal, Commander of the Watch, & the strongest knight. So a case their match could be made

Harwin is a sucker what did he get out of this arrangement? He is heir to Harrenhal, son of the Hand of the King and the strongest knight in the realm. If he wasn’t such a shortsighted he could have left a better legacy than fathering 3 bastards and dying in a fire!!!!

I don't wanna victimblame but I feel like anyone who willingly decides to stay in Harrenhal is risking their lives. Like oh let's stay the night in this EXTREMELY CURSED CASTLE where loads of people have died (often by FIRE) great idea!

alicent-cersei comparisons are debunked because the latter would be sipping wine and cracking a smile to hear harrenhal was set on fire NOT CRYING GIRL STAND UP
