Fan theory talks about a possible explanation to Beric Dondarrion's resurrections on Game of Thrones
Game of Thrones is at a very important point right now, and Season 7 is setting the stage for the big end. Now, we know that Season 7 has been the season of reunions, new character meetings, and character returns, and one of the characters to return is none other than Beric Dondarrion. The leader of the Brotherhood without Banners, Beric has been resurrected six times by Thoros of Myr. His storyline had been explored as a sort of a side-quest, but now it has ended up becoming a part of the central arc. Beric is back, and he is headed beyond the Wall, accompanying Jon Snow and the rest. So as he has constantly asked himself, the question pops : What is his purpose? Why is it that the Lord of the Light keeps bringing him back? A new fan theory might have the answer. Read on!
The theory comes from Reddit, of course, with a user namedHockeyfox, and it says that Beric will end up becoming the Wight that Jon and the others have to take back to King’s Landing. Check out the theory, below :
Now, this is indeed an interesting concept, and seems like it could happen to any of those going beyond the Wall, but the thing is that George R. R. Martin recently referred to Beric as a ‘Fire Wight‘, which is something the Redditor means when he calls Beric a ‘Light Zombie’. It does seem unlikely that he could fall to the White Walkers, given his affinity to fire, but if the theory is right, it would be poetic. What do you think about this theory? Will Beric Dondarrion die and be reanimated as a Wight? Or will somebody else fall and brought back to prove the existence of walkers to Cersei? Army of Tell us in the comments, down below!
