Emilia Clarke reveals how she prepared for the Game of Thrones nude scene
Nudity and gore are two things that all Game of Thrones fans are accustomed with. Even in season six, Emilia Clarke portrayed a very powerful sequence where Daenerys locked up all the powerful Khals of the Dothrakis in Dosh Khaleen temple and set up the whole thing on fire. She then emerged out of a burning Dosh Khaleen alive, to the Dothrakis’ amazement. All the Dothraki people who couldn’t believe what they were witnessing bowed to her and she once again proved that she is invincible and not your everyday ruler. When Daenerys emerged out of fire, her clothes were all burnt and she was standing naked in a burning temple in all her boldness.
Emilia Clarke talked about that particular scene and said that it was really empowering. She further spoke about her preparation for the scene and said that what she needed was, “vodka and some flattering lighting and I was ready. It was just a wonderful, strong moment I wanted to own, a real girl-power, wow scene.” And It truly was.
Furthermore, as its a well established fact that Emilia isn’t the one to mince her words, she had also joked about how there is so much female nudity on the show but no male nudity and that the show should ‘free the penis’ or she will herself ‘order close ups of all the boys penises’ once she reaches the iron throne.
You do you, Emilia.
