Documentary on late Game of Thrones star Neil Fingleton is in the making
Game of Thrones during its entire run consisted of many memorable and iconic characters. The character of the giant, Mag the Mighty was one such feature of the show. It was played by Neil Fingleton who did a terrific job of playing an unusual role. Fingleton, unfortunately, passed away at the age of 36 in February 2017. Now, as a tribute to his life, a documentary is being made by filmmaker Paul Stainthorpe. Read on to find out more.
As per Shields Gazette, Stainthorpe has already met Fingleton’s family and has begun the work on the documentary. The film has been named as Big Smooth. It will focus on an interesting life of Fingleton who was just shy of 7 feet 8 inches and was named UK’s tallest man.
Speaking about the documentary Stainthorpe said:
“Neil’s ‘never give up’ attitude is an inspiration to us all and his life story encourages us all to strive to reach our potential. It’s been really great to meet Neil’s family and truly humbling experience. I can’t thank them enough for putting their trust in me.”
Fingleton was part of many big projects in his career. He worked with Keanu Reeves in the samurai action film, 47 Ronin and numerous Hollywood stars in X-Men: First Class, Avengers: Age of Ultron, and more. Fingleton, however, would be best remembered for his portrayal of a giant on Game of Thrones.
Stainthorpe is looking for someone who knew Fingleton to come forward and contribute towards the documentary. They can write to [email protected]lonepinepictures.co.uk and do their bit.
Fingleton will be missed dearly by fans across the globe. The testimony of their love was the way they bid their goodbye to him three years ago.

The New Year brings with it new hopes and opportunities for everyone around the world. People all over the world are trying to get back on their feet after everything that happened in the Red Wedding year. Many are trying to get a fresh start, including some of Game of Thrones stars. Emilia Clarke, famous for playing Daenerys Targaryen, recently sold off her lavish California home at $4.4 million.
The modern home in Los Angeles’ artsy beachside Venice neighbourhood was truly a fit for the Queen of Dragons. The 2,817-square-foot home was built in 2009. It includes two bedrooms and three full bathrooms.
The gated property features a courtyard with a 30-foot pool and multiple areas for lounging, including a covered space. The front patio has 80-year-old olive trees. The 0.12-acre property offers privacy behind its walls and mature greenery. It is also conveniently close to the beach and hip shopping and dining around the corner on Abbot Kinney Boulevard.
Clarke paid $4.6 million for the property in 2016, records show. She put it on the market for just under $5 million in August. It sold just before the end of the year after a price cut in November.
This might indicate Emilia plans to stay in England permanently. Earlier in 2020, Maisie Williams expressed her desire to move to France with her boyfriend. Do you have any such plans? Talk to us in the comments below!
