David Benioff talks about Game of Thrones season 7 and another cast member gets spotted in Belfast
Game of Thrones is currently filming for Season 7, which is set to premiere in summer. Season 6 was a hit, with fans and critics alike, getting the show a lot of nominations this awards season. At the red carpet of therecently held Screen Actors Guild Awards, showrunner David Benioff talked about how it was to run a season without official source material from author George R. R. Martin, for the first time.

Benioff said :
“George Martin wrote such beautiful characters and created such an immersive world that at this point if we weren’t able to stand on our own, we wouldn’t really deserve the job.”
We are just waiting for the next book by GRRM, The Winds of Winter to come out so that we can compare and see how the show deviates from the books.
In other news, more Game of Thrones actors are being spotted in Belfast, Northern Ireland, where the production shoots the indoor scenes at Titanic Studios. A fan in the area recently posted a selfie with Kristofer Hivju, who plays Tormund Giantsbane on the show. Check it out, below :
The filming for Season 7 is expected to wrap up by the end of the month, and we expect to see every cast member with filming left to do, to show up in Belfast. We will be updating you as we hear more.
Season 7 still has some time left to go before it comes to us. In the meantime, we can expect a trailer to drop sometime in March.
Hopefully HBO will be a dear and drop us some Season 7 posters in February. We can only hope. Talk to us in the comments, below!
