The guilt and deeds from his past that have long haunted him come to the forefront, allowing him to gaze into the future for the first time.

Daemon’s visions channel through the weirwood tree, and as the lore goes, all the weirwood trees are connected to the 3 eyed raven. And what he sees isn’t pretty. He sees glimpses of The Long Night approaching, i.e., the arrival of the White Walkers and the undead. This real danger shakes Daemon to his core.
