Carice van Houten (Melisandre) possibly filming for Game of Thrones Season 8!
Game of Thrones has a lot of great and mysterious characters, and you can damn well bet that Season 8 will tie out the loose ends on the storylines of every single one of those that are still alive. We have confirmations on several actors set to return for filming for Game of Thrones Season 8, but some are yet to be spotted. The latest actors to have possibly returned to film for Season 8, is Carice van Houten, who plays the role of Melisandre. Read on!
Now, we saw Melisandre in Season 7, and she left on a rather ominous tone. As Jon Snow arrives at Dragonstone, she was seen avoiding him over the threat to her life he made when he made her leave Winterfell, and Varys speaks to her about caution, and she says something that is probably a spoiler :
“Oh, I will return dear Spider. One last time. I have to die in this strange country, just like you.”
Naturally we are expecting her to return for Season 8, and she might have accidentally just revealed her return to the show, thanks to an Instagram post she made and clever snooping by a Redditor named EveryFckngChicken. Read on!
Now, the Instagram post was a video of her driving at night. The post was taken down later, but EveryFckngChicken has a whole report of it. Check it out :

He crosschecked the sign in the video and located it on Google Maps, and concluded that Carice was on the A1 near Dromore, driving southwest from Belfast. Now we know Game of Thrones films there, and is currently filming for Season 8 there, and the route she is on leads to Linen Mill Studios in Corbet-Banbridge, which has sets of the likes of Riverrun, Winterfell, Three-Eyed Raven’s cave, and more.
So yes, looks like we will be seeing Melisandre back in Season 8. We will update you with sightings of Carice in the area as we hear of it. What do you think will happen to Melisandre in Season 8? Hit us with your theories in the comments, down below!
