Maisie Williams admired watching Charles Dance rehearse on Game of Thrones
A number of noteworthy antagonists were featured in Game of Thrones, but none had the same impact and admirability as Tywin Lannister, played by Charles Dance. Seriousness was implied by his very appearance on screen, and viewers could tell he meant business. Even the young actress, Maisie Williams, who played Arya Stark on the show, was enamored by the veteran actor’s talent.
Maisie Williams loved watching Charles Dance rehearse
Maisie Williams got the role of Arya Stark after competing with 300 girls. When she was on the set of Game of Thrones, she learned from her senior actors, particularly Charles Dance. She told The Times, “Charles Dance was a standout for Game of Thrones. I admired watching him rehearse, and the things that he and the director talked about.”
No wonder their chemistry worked out great as Arya and Tywin.
Maisie Williams’ advice to younger actors
Williams has been in the industry for quite some time now. She has seen several ups and downs in her career. She also gave advice to the young actors trying to make it big in Hollywood. The Corvidae star said, “I really dig within myself to try and bring out something that I feel would be really useful. I’ve no idea if I ever have, but I know that at least they could text me or call me.”
