Game of Thrones has been a lot in the news this year since even before season 7 kicked off. And with such a massive opening to an epic show of it’s kind, none would be surprised if we said that another record has been broken. Just last week, episode 4 of season 7, The Spoils of War, came out and gathered as many as 10.167 million views in one fluent stroke. But this time, even that viewership has been surpassed. Episode 5, ‘Eastwatch’, broke the record by getting 10.72 million live viewers. The season premiere itself saw a massive opening of 10.11 million viewers.

If this is anything to go by, there are chances that the final two episodes of season 7 are going to be even bigger. Although ‘The Spoils of War’ was actually leaked before it’s official release, it didn’t stop the episode from gaining that many more viewers. And given the fact that it ended on a major cliffhanger, there really is no surprise that people were eager to watch the next episode as soon as it came out. Season 7 has been going pretty well so far with a lot of significant changes and developments alongside the characters and plots finally being tied up together to lead up to the big ending that awaits us all. With so many viewers still teeming in to watch the episodes despite the possible leaks and hacks, it really says something about the popularity of Game of Thrones all over the world.

It remains to be seen how many more viewers the show will gather in the last two episodes which are supposed to be quite promising in terms of epic-ness.
