The quality of HBO shows like House of the Dragon won’t be affected by the strikes
The long wait is now over. The Writers Guild of America strike, which had put everything in Hollywood on hold, including highly anticipated series and films, has come to an end thanks to a settlement that will benefit all writers in the business, regardless of the network they work for. This is great news for aspiring authors who are just getting their start as well as for the viewers who have been eagerly awaiting the release of their favorite series and movies.
HBO exec is happy with the new deal
HBO head Casey Bloys said at the Code Conference (via Deadline), “I’m happy it’s past us. I’m happy that everybody appears to be very happy with the deal that they got. I want everybody to feel that they’ve gotten a good deal and are ready to get back to work.”
On being asked if the strikes affected the kind or quality of the shows, he said, “A good show is a good show. We’ve been through strikes before. It doesn’t affect the kinds of shows we make.”
