‘The Alienist’ actor joins House of the Dragon Season 2 as Ser Gunthor Darklyn
House of the Dragon is one step closer to wrapping up production on its second season after wrapping up recently in Bourne Woods, Surrey. This is an extremely quick-moving project with an early 2024 release date; new information about the story, the actors, and the location is emerging every day. One more cast member who will feature in Season 2 has recently gained attention.
Steven Pacey to play Lord Gunthor Darklyn
As the filming for the second season of House of the Dragon comes close to its conclusion, more details about its cast become clear. Recently, another casting leak was made by Redanian Intelligence, according to their sources, it is rumored that actor Steven Pacey will star in the second season of House of the Dragon as Gunthor Darklyn, the head of House Darklyn.

During the civil war known as the Dance of the Dragons, Gunthor Darklyn served as the Lord of Duskendale and the leader of House Darklyn. Ser Steffon Darklyn of the Kingsguard, who serves Queen Rhaenyra Targaryen, the head of the Blacks, was his uncle. Up until Criston Cole and the Green Army overran Duskendale, House Darklyn was a steadfast ally of the Blacks.
