Game of Thrones’ Iwan Rheon to star in a BBC series based on Viagra’s clinical trials
Game of Thrones has produced some of the industry’s best talents. It was a long-running series with many noteworthy characters. Some of those figures went on to become some of the most legendary villains of all time. Among those villains, Ramsay Bolton will probably go down in history as the most vicious. Iwan Rheon, who played the character on the show, has scored another intriguing part in a forthcoming BBC drama, Men Up.
What is Men Up about?
Men Up, written, created, and executive produced by Matthew Barry, is based on the incredible true story of one of the earliest medication trials ever conducted, which took place in Swansea’s Morriston Hospital in 1994. The story follows five common Welshmen who take part in a study for a new medicine that would eventually become Viagra and set out on an astonishing trip. Meurig, played by Rheon, longs to rekindle his marriage to Ffion (Alexandra Roach) but is unable to communicate with her about his problems.
