Daeron Targaryen rumored to be played by Jack Cunningham-Nuttall in House of the Dragon Season 2
The viewers got a decent glimpse at the next Targaryen generation in House of the Dragon‘s sixth episode. However, Daeron Targaryen is one prince we have yet to meet. He is King Viserys and Queen Alicent’s youngest son. He was described as being the kindest of all his brothers in the novel Fire & Blood. And he will make an appearance in Season 2.
Jack Cunningham-Nuttall might be playing Daeron Targaryen
Fans have been wondering for a long time, since a major character from the novel has largely been unheard of so far. According to a recent report by the @asoiafsource fan account, The King’s Man actor Jack Cunningham-Nuttall might have been cast in the role of Alicent Hightower’s youngest son, Daeron Targaryen.
Why Daeron Targaryen wasn’t in Season 1 of House of the Dragon?
At the age of twelve, Alicent’s cousin Ormund Hightower hired Daeron to work as a squire and cupbearer for him. Lord Ormund Hightower serves as the head of House Hightower. Possibly Alicent’s uncle, who we encounter in episode 5, is the father of this person. Daeron could be in Oldtown already given his absence from the most recent episode.
It seems improbable that he has been removed from the series because he is also a dragon rider, even if there is no mention of a character being cast in his place. Tessarion, his dragon, will undoubtedly appear in the series; that much is certain. We will likely watch Dance of the Dragons since all the events in the series will build up to the civil war.
