Game of Thrones’ Kristofer Hivju (Tormund) to star in dark comedy Cocaine Bear

Every TV show or movie has that one person who lights up the screen upon their entrance. Game of Thrones’ Tormund Giantsbane, played by Kristofer Hivju, was one such character who’s loved by fans for his hilarious puns and looks worldwide. Kristofer himself is quite jolly in real life, and fans and co-stars have adored interacting with the actor at fan conventions or off the set. After playing a bear/boar hybrid in The Witcher season 2, Hivju has been approached to play another role in the upcoming dark comedy Cocaine Bear.
Directed by Elizabeth Banks, Cocaine Bear is an R-rated film about a bear who ingested cocaine and went on a killing spree, which will undoubtedly feature plenty of graphic violence. Hivju’s role in the movie hasn’t been revealed yet, but given his acting history, he might be playing the bear himself!
Cocaine Bear is set to premier on February 24. Watch the trailer right here:
The film also stars Ray Liotta, Keri Russell, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Christian Convery-Jennings, Alden Ehrenreich, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Brooklynn Prince, Isiah Whitlock Jr., Kristofer Hivju, Hannah Hoekstra, Aaron Holliday, Margo Martindale among others.
