Vudu releases Digital 4K Ultra HD version of Game of Thrones
Game of Thrones, often regarded as the greatest TV show of the 21st century, is now available in digital 4K Ultra HD version. The HBO fantasy epic is available for the first time in 4K Ultra HD on Vudu, Fandango’s video-on-demand streaming service. And since the prequel series House of The Dragon is on its way, what better way to revisit Westeros in all its glory refined to the finest?
Vudu is currently the only digital retailer launching Game of Thrones in 4K Ultra HD version as a complete series bundle or by season. This was made possible after the success of Vudu’s previous exclusive 4K Ultra HD mode of Kevin Costner’s Yellowstone, which garnered a lot of praise.
Game of Thrones is available on Vudu in 4K UHD for a limited time at the HD price. Seasons 1 through 6 in UHD are $24.99 each, with shorter Seasons 7 and 8 in UHD available for $19.99 each, and the entire eight-season series bundle in UHD available for $99.99. Fans who previously purchased one or more seasons or the complete series bundle in SD or HD on Vudu will be able to upgrade to 4K UHD on Vudu for $5 per season or $30 for the complete series.
The prequel series House of The Dragon has already wrapped up filming, and we know several of the locations used in Game of Thrones will also appear in House of The Dragon. Also, it will be a good rewatch for all the fans and those willing to get into the lore, while preparing you to spot any neatly hidden Game of Thrones callbacks in the show.
