Ed Sheeran’s Red Notice cameo has a surprise reference to Game of Thrones
Ed Sheeran made an appearance on Game of Thrones during the Season 7 premiere and it soon turned into a nightmare for him as many fans of the show showed their displeasure over his role. Sheeran had a very small role in the episode, which included just two lines, apart from the “Hands of Gold” song that he was singing during the scene.
The showrunners had been trying to get Ed Sheeran to play a cameo on the show for a long time as actress Maisie Williams is a big fan of his and supposedly it was her last season. Sheeran recently appeared at the end of Netflix’s Red Notice, a heist film starring Dwayne Johnson, Gal Gadot, and Ryan Reynolds. And his new Red Notice cameo had a reference to his previous infamous Game of Thrones jig.

Towards the end of the film, Ed Sheeran appears as himself, performing his famous single ‘Perfect’ at the wedding of a wealthy Egyptian family. Unfortunately for Sheeran, the cops crash the party in the middle of his song to the artist’s great chagrin. After swinging his guitar wildly as a weapon, Sheeran is dragged away by the police, screaming, “Do you know who I am? I was in Game of Thrones!”
