Batman’s new origin story in Dark Knight’s of Steel just made him DC’s Jon Snow
DC is known to experiment with their stories a lot, revamping their stories quite often or simply making a one-shot comic storyline. Recently, the premier comic book company has decided to give their famous heroes a Game of Thrones makeover, which includes DC’s bannermen, Superman and Batman. And Batman’s new origin story makes him DC’s Jon Snow.

Dark Knight’s of Steel is DC’s tribute to Game of Thrones. In the new comics written by Tom Taylor, an alternate and medieval DC Universe is revealed where Batman very much resembles Game of Thrones’ Jon Snow. In this alternate storyline, Kal-El’s (Superman’s) biological parents are alive and well and managed to escape with their son to the dying planet Krypton. Years later, Bruce Wayne serves as a knight of Castle El, seeing as how Jor-El and Lara have become King and Queen after the deaths of his parents, Thomas and Martha. However, the reason why Batman didn’t ascend to the throne himself is that he’s publically known as a bastard and was therefore not a true heir to King Thomas Wayne.
It is later revealed that Batman is the illegitimate child of Jor-El and Martha Wayne, thus being half Kryptonian. This is, no doubt, a direct reference to Jon Snow’s origin in Game of Thrones. We just have to wait and see how this will affect Batman’s future in DC’s version of Game of Thrones. Talk to us in the comments below!
