Nathalie Emmanuel is excited for people to watch Game of Thrones Season 8
Game of Thrones filming has wrapped up. It is expected to air in the first half of 2019. For the fans, it may be the most epic fantasy TV series ever produced. But, the cast members find a strange nostalgia in it, especially the ones who’ve grown as the series progressed.
We recently shared a post where Gwendoline Christie (Brienne of Tarth) discussed her experience while working on the show. In this article, we’re sharing Nathalie Emmanuel’s interview with the Ians Agency via the Indian Express.
Nathalie plays one of Daenerys Targaryen’s most trusted advisors – Missandei on the show. She has been playing her in the series since the third season. Missandei’s character has undergone tremendous development from Master Krazneys mo-Nakloz’s translator to the Dragon Queen’s confidant and hand-maiden.
“I think what we can expect from the final season of GoT is just a real push. Like in the last couple of seasons, we have seen the pace of the show increase with the stakes getting higher and higher. There are so many storylines that have to come to conclusion. We have to play them out, so the pace of the show is continuing on that sense,” said Nathalie speaking about what to expect in the final season.
Praising the final season, she said that it is going to be incredibly exciting and heartbreaking. Absolutely, we all can understand that we won’t be getting a bittersweet ending, as the author of the book seriesGeorge RR Martin had promised. Speaking on the same, she said:
“All of the things that you expect from ‘Game of Thrones’, but at the same time, since it is the last one, the emotions will be so much more intense. I am very excited for people to see it. We have been working so hard on it. The production is finished now.”
Praising the team-effort Game of Thrones cast and crew is putting up for a fantastic Season 8, she also said, “It took us longer to shoot this season than any of the seasons…I feel like people will have their mind blown when they watch the final one.”
Apart from Game of Thrones, Nathalie has been playing an eminent role in the ‘Fast and the Furious’ franchise. Speaking about the same she said, “The reason why these films continue to be so popular today is because they are very inclusive of people from all kinds of backgrounds. They look very different from one another, they travel with each movie all over the world and show different cultures, different language, different landscape and they take people outside of what they know and represent them too.”
