The castle where Game of Thrones star Rose Leslie grew up is now available for renting
There have been many a memorable characters in Game of Thrones, and the one with one of the most repeated dialogues on the show, was Ygritte. The character who told Jon Snow he knew nothing, was played by Rose Leslie. We recently learned about her royal lineage, and it seems she grew up in a castle, which is now available for stay. Read on!
Rose Leslie grew up in a 15th-century castle in the Scottish countryside. Her parents, Sebastian Arbuthnot-Leslie, Chieftain of Clan Leslie, and Candida Mary Sibyl Leslie, have now put up the castle, called the Lickleyhead Castle, up for stay on the accommodation rental service, Airbnb. Check out the listing, here.
The castle is currently going for £600 a night. It’s huge with seven bedrooms, some of which, are in turrets. It’s located at Auchleven, in north-eastern Scotland; a perfect countryside gateway. The description reads :
“Large great hall for spending time together in front of original medieval open fireplace. Dining room seating 16 plus cosy kitchen with AGA. 7 delightful bedrooms with 7 bathrooms, some tucked away in turrets. Cosy panelled sitting room with open fire and large flat screen TV (full Sky package including Sky Sports, internet and wifi).
