Game of Thrones is now filming for the final season of the show, and it will not return till 2019. Granted we have prequel spin-off shows to look forward to, but the end of the show is still a pretty big deal. While us fans are freaking out about the end of the show, it’s much harder for the stars themselves. In a recent interview with ITV’s talk show, Lorraine, reports Daily Mail,Maisie Williams, who plays the role of Arya Stark, spoke about Game of Thrones ending and what it means for her. Read on!

Maisie has been one of those stars that started off on the show when they were really young, and managed to carve their mark. She took on the role of Arya when she was only 12, and she is now 20, and her progress speaks for itself. She said that she owes it to Game of Thrones. Watch the clip from her interview, below :

She spoke about how it was to juggle her normal life with the new one, in the showbiz :

“I juggled school and filming at the same time for awhile, but as I went through school and my GCSEs, my character only got bigger and bigger, so I was home-schooled for a little while.

When I was younger, I had a job and I was working, but I was very young. But as I got older, my friends started working, so I didn’t see [my job] as any different to them.”

Game of Thrones has had unprecedented success, and the show had been one of the biggest factors in pushing television as a quality medium in this decade. Speaking of the show’s success, Maisie said :

“When anyone goes in and pitches a show they’re like, “It’s going to be the biggest show ever,” but it really happened!”

Speaking of the show ending, she said :

“It’s nerve-racking because it’s been my safety blanket. It’s strange. It’s been my entire career, but it’s exciting to know that I can really shake my career and do what I want to do.”

We’re looking forward to what Maisie does post Game of Thrones. What about you? Talk to us in the comments, down below!
